Condensation pump

How does condensation occur?

Air conditioning also automatically dehumidifies the air through the physical process, removing moisture from the air. This condensation water must then be connected to a drain or outlet. On a hot / humid summer day, up to 2 liters of condensation water can be produced per hour.

When is a condensation pump needed?

Kondenswasserpumpe

A condensate pump for a Split air conditioner is required if the condensate that forms during operation of the air conditioning system cannot drain off naturally. This may be the case if the air conditioner is installed in an area where there is no suitable drain or if the drain is too high or too far away.

In such cases, a condensate pump is used to pump the condensate out of the air conditioning system and direct it to a suitable drain or outlet. The pump is normally activated automatically when a certain level of condensate is reached.

It is important to maintain the condensate pump regularly and ensure that it is working properly to avoid problems such as overflowing or leaks.

When is there no Condensation pump required?

A condensate pump for an air conditioning system is generally not required if the air conditioning system is installed in an environment where the condensate can drain away naturally. This is usually the case if the air conditioner is installed in an area where the condensate can be drained through a drain pipe or other drainage channel.

In such cases, the condensate can simply drain by gravity and no separate condensate pump is required. It is important to ensure that the drainage system is working properly and is not blocked to ensure smooth drainage of the condensate.
